Longmont Voters Sound Off about local politics and local elections
(quotes used with permission to V!L)
"Honestly, why does political party matter when we're talking about city council and mayor in Colorado? Either you care about the community and working hard to do your best, or you don't. This whole 'rah rah my party' and 'woo woo your party' at the local level cheapens the whole process." ~ Jamie SVE

"A guy who lives in Boulder (yes I asked!) just came to my doorstep and told me how I should vote on a LONGMONT issue. I told him that people in Longmont are perfectly capable of researching our own issues without outside help or money flooding in taking over a local issue." ~Patty C.

Vote! Longmont is not affiliated in any way with the City Of Longmont, or the Counties of Boulder or Weld.  We are a self funded grass roots organization and can accept donations (not currently tax deductible). If you are interested in this effort, which might include mass mailings, door to door activities, phone calls, or if you want to donate money to help in those activities, contact us.

What does your site/organization do?
Vote! Longmont held status as an authorized Colorado VRD (Voter Registration Drive) from 2008-2010. The Colorado Sec of State recently changed the way citizens can register to vote and now allows voters to register easily online. Due to that change, we have shifted our focus to providing a one stop informational site, that in addition to voter registration and deadline information, to providing links to better help Longmont residents be informed voters in areas involving issues that affect the Longmont community.

Why?  Voter registration and turnout in Longmont is too low, in our opinion.  By providing a one-stop shop to find election information relevant to Longmont, we hope to trend those numbers upward.

Who/What is funding this effort?  1) Self-funding, 2) donations (non-tax deductible), 3) website ad revenue, and, 4) a small percentage of sales of merchandise sold at our CafePress store.  Let us know if you'd like to help in this regard, any amount is appreciated.
